Everything we do centers around these core principles:
Waste Not, Want Not: We aspire to run every part of our farming operation in an organic/biodynamic fashion. We do not use any artificial chemicals or pharmaceuticals of any kind. Our philosophy is that God knew what he was doing when he designed the earth; He is a good God that gave us everything we need to achieve health and wellness. When we do not waste the resources He has given us, we will not be in want of anything.
Non-Aversive, Non-Violent: We treat all of our animals with respect and genuine care. We believe respecting the glory of each animal (honoring the uniqueness of each animal and helping that animal live to its fullest potential) gives glory to our Creator. To keep our animals healthy, we focus on building a healthy terrain. If we need to treat an injury or illness, we use homeopathy, herbs and mineral balancing. We train using positive reinforcement and seek to minimize suffering when we butcher animals.
Naturally Nutritious: Our goal in our food production is to not only have the cleanest foods, but also the most nutritionally dense foods, which comes from using the cycle of life on the farm to increase biodiversity and soil health. We make all our own compost from the manure of our own clean animals and our own mulch from the trees in the forests surrounding our farm.
Nurturing Neighborliness: Our mission is to teach others the skills we have learned in order to not only redeem the land and animals, but also God’s highest creation – humans! We reject the scarcity mindset which leads to the tendency to cheat one’s neighbors. Instead, we nurture a mindset of abundance, building a sense of self-confidence, trust and community cooperation.
